This project started with a client who loved our Buckshot Fire Table, especially the board-
formed concrete texture, but wanted something that felt a little different. To create a stronger architectural presence, we suggested rotating the board-formed pattern vertically rather than horizontally. The shift is subtle, but it gives the piece a more refined, structured character that pairs beautifully with the surrounding architecture.We also approached the fire media differently. Instead of filling the fire pit flush with theconcrete surface—as we typically do—we created a sculptural mound of large lava chunks rising above the surface of the table. The elevated pile gives the fire a more organic, elemental quality, allowing the flames to dance through the rocks and creating a dramatic focal point.

What began as a custom project quickly took on a life of its own. Designers and clients began requesting the same look again and again. Today, this design has become one of our signature pieces—the Pfeiffer Fire Table.
